Kyle Tucker (calf) remains sidelined for Tuesday's game at Truist Park against the Atlanta Braves.
Willi Castro will make the start in right field and will hit seventh against Braves right-hander
Spencer Strider. Left-calf tightness will sideline the left-handed hitting All-Star for the sixth straight game, and while the 28-year-old is still considered day-to-day, he could also land on the 10-day injured list any day now. Chicago's main priority at this point is to have Tucker be 100 percent healthy for the start of the postseason in October. If he cannot play by Friday's series opener against the Tampa Bay Rays after a scheduled day off on Thursday, an IL stint will be much more likely. The switch-hitting Castro has modest power/speed skills with 11 homers and 10 steals in 375 at-bats in 2025, but he's also hitting just .229.

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder
Brandon Marsh (illness) remains under the weather and is out of Tuesday's starting lineup at Citizens Bank Park against the division-rival New York Mets. Marsh will miss his second straight game due to illness after sitting out the series-opening win on Monday.
Weston Wilson will make the start in right field for the Phils and will bat seventh versus Mets left-hander
Sean Manaea. With a right-hander scheduled to be on the mound on Wednesday, Marsh should be back in action if he's feeling better. The right-handed-hitting Wilson will be a deep DFS sleeper with limited upside on Tuesday's slate. The 30-year-old is batting only .219 (16-for-73) in limited action for the Phillies this year and has four homers, 13 RBI, and 10 runs. He's hitless in four career at-bats against Manaea.

Cleveland Guardians infielder
Gabriel Arias (wrist) is being held out of the starting lineup on Tuesday against the division-rival Kansas City Royals after he left Monday's game early with right-wrist inflammation.
Brayan Rocchio is starting at short and will bat seventh against Royals left-hander
Noah Cameron. Arias is considered day-to-day for now and could be able to rejoin the lineup for the continuation of the series at Progressive Field on Wednesday.
Daniel Schneemann is starting at the keystone and is batting eighth in the order. Neither Arias nor Rocchio is much to look at for fantasy purposes, so managers should have better sleeper options at shortstop for Tuesday's slate. The 24-year-old Rocchio is a switch-hitting, glove-first infielder who is batting .236 (67-for-284) on the season with a weak .635 OPS, four homers, 40 RBI, and six steals.

The Toronto Blue Jays announced on Tuesday that they placed shortstop
Bo Bichette (knee) on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to Sept. 7) with a left-knee sprain and recalled outfielder
Joey Loperfido from Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding move. Bichette injured his knee while sliding on Saturday against the New York Yankees and then didn't play in the series finale on Sunday. The 27-year-old All-Star will now miss at least the next 10 days, although he might not be ready to return when eligible on Sept. 17. Losing Bichette down the stretch is a tough blow as the Jays try to win the American League East. With Bichette missing some time, expect the contact-oriented
Ernie Clement to work as the regular shortstop in Toronto. He's at the 6 for Monday's series opener against the visiting Houston Astros and is hitting seventh in the batting order.

St. Louis Cardinals pitching prospect Liam Doyle has been promoted to Double-A Springfield, skipping over High-A after just one start at Single-A. The fifth overall pick in this year's MLB Draft pitched to a 3.20 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and struck out 164 batters in 95 2/3 innings pitched (42.6 percent K%, 15.43 K/9) for the University of Tennessee this year before going in the first round. In his lone appearance at Single-A Palm Beach, the southpaw allowed one hit (a home run) and walked two batters while striking out three in 1 2/3 innings pitched. The Cards' second-ranked prospect will get a chance to test his mettle against Double-A hitters, and with his big-time strikeout stuff, don't be surprised if he makes quick work of the minors and debuts in the majors at some point in 2026. Even if it doesn't happen next season, he's a top pitching prospect to stash in dynasty for whenever he debuts.

Philadelphia Phillies outfield prospect
Justin Crawford (concussion) was placed on Triple-A Lehigh Valley's 7-day injured list with a concussion, retroactive to September 5, after colliding with third baseman
Otto Kemp. The Phils' third-ranked prospect was having an excellent season for the Iron Pigs, slashing .334/.411/.452 with a .392 wOBA, 133 wRC+, and 46 stolen bases in 112 games. If he returns when first eligible, he could play an additional handful of games at Triple-A before the season is out, and could also join the Phillies for their stretch run. If he does not debut this year, it's a good bet he'll be in the majors in 2026, and he'll bring excellent bat-to-ball skills and a ton of speed with him, which will make him very intriguing for fantasy.

Chicago White Sox outfield prospect
Braden Montgomery (foot) was placed on Double-A Birmingham's 7-day injured list on Monday. Chicago's top-ranked prospect was hit by a pitch in the second inning of Saturday's contest, resulting in a small fracture in his right foot. The injury will end what was otherwise a good season for the 2024 first-rounder, who began at Single-A and earned two promotions to get to Birmingham. In all, the 22-year-old slashed .270/.360/.444 with 12 home runs and 14 steals in 121 games played. The switch-hitter is still expected to participate in the Arizona Fall League (AFL). If he continues to progress, he should see Triple-A next year and could even see a late season debut in the majors. With solid hit and run tools along with some plus power, he's the type of prospect dynasty managers should be stashing away.

Boston Red Sox left-hander
Kyle Harrison is traveling from Syracuse, New York, (where Triple-A Worcester is) to Sacramento to be an option for the big-league team on Wednesday in the series finale against the Athletics, according to Tommy Cassell. Boston has yet to announce a starter for Wednesday's contest, but it appears that both
Payton Tolle and Harrison could be used in some capacity. The 24-year-old Harrison was expected to join the Red Sox recently, cut a minor ankle injury got in the way of those plans. He threw an inning with the WooSox on Sunday and could be used in bulk relief on Wednesday, although he wouldn't be recommended as a fantasy streamer. Rafael Devers to San Francisco in the first half of the season, but he has yet to pitch with the BoSox.

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect
Zyhir Hope is headed to Double-A Tulsa following a strong season at High-A Great Lakes. The Dodgers' second-ranked prospect (MLB No. 19) slashed .264/.377/.428 with 13 home runs and 26 steals in 121 games at High-A. The strikeout rate is something to keep an eye on at the next level, as he recorded an elevated 26.5 percent rate for the Loons, but it was somewhat offset by a strong 14.9 percent walk rate, and if he can continue to grow into additional power, then it may not matter all that much. The 20-year-old could be in the majors by 2027, and as a projected potential 30-home run hitter, he should be rostered already in dynasty leagues.

Detroit Tigers right-handed reliever
Paul Sewald (shoulder) tossed a scoreless inning with a walk and three strikeouts in his second minor-league rehab appearance for High-A West Michigan on Sunday. Sewald has now thrown two scoreless innings in as many outings with a hit allowed, a walk and four strikeouts with West Michigan. The 35-year-old veteran has been working his way back from a right-shoulder strain that initially landed him on the injured list back on July 15. He was since moved to the 60-day IL, but he could return on or near Wednesday, Sept. 10, according to MLB.com. Sewald was acquired in a trade by Detroit this year, but he has yet to pitch for the Tigers because of his injury. Before injuring his shoulder, he had a bloated 4.70 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 15 1/3 innings for the Cleveland Guardians. Sewald should remain on the waiver wire in all leagues.

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect
Josue De Paula is getting promoted to Double-A Tulsa for the remainder of the season. The Dodgers' top-ranked prospect (MLB No. 12) had a strong season at High-A, where he batted .263 with 12 home runs and a .421 slugging percentage. He also drew walks at an elite rate of 19.0 percent, buoying a phenomenal .406 on-base percentage, which also helped him steal 32 bases. The 20-year-old should move to within the top 10 prospects in all of baseball next year, and could even see a late-season call-up to the big leagues if everything goes right. With a solid all-around toolset, this year's All-Star Futures Game MVP should be stashed away in dynasty formats.

Chicago Cubs right-hander
Michael Soroka (shoulder) is scheduled for a multi-inning minor-league rehab outing with Triple-A Iowa on Wednesday, according to Jordan Bastian of MLB.com. After that, barring a setback, Soroka could be ready to come off the 15-day injured list to rejoin the Cubs. Chicago acquired Soroka from the Washington Nationals in July, but the 28-year-old made just one appearance for the Cubbies before going on the shelf with a right-shoulder strain. With
Jameson Taillon (groin) scheduled to return from his IL stint and start on Thursday against the Atlanta Braves, it would appear that there won't be a rotation spot waiting for Soroka when he makes it back. We'd expect Soroka to return as a long man out of the bullpen, which will make him unrosterable in pretty much all fantasy leagues.

Chicago Cubs manager Craig Counsell said that right-hander
Javier Assad will "likely move into the bullpen" with right-hander
Jameson Taillon (groin) scheduled to come off the 15-day injured list to make the start against the Atlanta Braves in the series finale on Thursday, according to MLB.com's Jordan Bastian. Assad has had an injury-plagued 2025 season and has only made five starts (25 1/3 innings) at the big-league level for the Cubs. The former full-time reliever has been inconsistent, too, as he's sporting a career-worst 4.62 ERA (4.88 FIP) with a 1.26 WHIP and 14:7 K:BB in his fourth season in the majors. Assad will now return to the bullpen, where he's been much more effective in his career. He had a 3.05 ERA in 109 1/3 innings back in 2023, although he's never been much of a strikeout artist. Assad will lose what little fantasy appeal he had with the move to the 'pen.

Andrew Kittredge will "continue to get high-leverage work from the right side."
Daniel Palencia (shoulder), who had been operating as the closer, blew a save on Sunday and got hurt before being put on the injured list on Monday. Kittredge has a 3.57 ERA with a 33.3% strikeout rate and 3.7% walk rate in 14 innings since joining the Cubs this year. Instead of going with a traditional closer with Palencia out, Sharma says that manager Craig Counsell will "likely go inning by inning." In addition to Keller and Kittredge from the right side, Counsell has lefties
Caleb Thielbar and
Drew Pomeranz, who have both been dominant. While the 35-year-old Kittredge could see some save chances down the stretch, Keller is still probably the best waiver-wire pickup for fantasy managers.

Texas Rangers shortstop
Corey Seager (appendix) may be able to return for the final seven to 10 days of the regular season, manager Bruce Bochy told reporters. Seager underwent an appendectomy on Aug. 28, but the 31-year-old has made enough progress that he could come back after sitting out for approximately three weeks. He'll hit the three-week mark when the Rangers open a series against the Miami Marlins on Sept. 19. This has been a frustrating season from a health standpoint for Seager, who has also endured two separate stints on the 10-day injured list because of right-hamstring strains. When healthy, though, the five-time All-Star has continued to produce. Over 102 games and 445 plate appearances, Seager has slashed .271/.373/.487 with 21 homers, 50 RBI, 61 runs, and three steals.
