Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Scotty Miller logged two receptions for 38 yards on two targets in a 17-14 preseason loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The sixth-year pro continues to impress this summer in a Pittsburgh receiving corps that lacks proven commodities outside of D.K. Metcalf. He made a sliding catch in the second quarter on a deep ball from quarterback Skylar Thompson for a gain of 23 yards. Although there is no guarantee Miller makes the 53-man roster, he has certainly made a stronger case than fellow veteran Robert Woods, who has just one catch through two exhibition contests. The 28-year-old appeared in 13 games with the Steelers last season and has ties to offensive coordinator Arthur Smith dating back to his 2023 campaign with the Atlanta Falcons. He'll look to keep rolling in the team's final preseason bout with the Carolina Panthers on Thursday.--Jorden Hill - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Trey Lance led the team in passing and rushing during a last-second 23-22 preseason loss to the Los Angeles Rams, making a strong case to be the QB2 entering the season. The former first-round pick completed 7 of 15 passes for 121 yards and gained 25 rushing yards on four attempts. Lance showed good chemistry with rookies Tré Harris and Keandre Lambert-Smith on deep throws and appeared more confident in his passing throughout the game. He nearly threw a game-sealing touchdown pass on a perfectly thrown ball at the end of the fourth quarter, but the miss ultimately led to the Rams' final scoring drive. After an impressive preseason, it would be a surprise if Lance isn't named the official backup to Justin Herbert.--Don FanelliSource: NFL

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey had a quiet night, catching one pass for 17 yards in the team's 23-22 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The 2024 second-round pick out of Georgia is expected to be the Chargers' WR1 again after a strong rookie season, posting 182 receptions, 1,149 yards, and seven touchdowns. McConkey focused on building his strength this offseason to stay healthy for a full season after dealing with injuries at the end of last year. He is projected as WR11 by RotoBaller.--Don FanelliSource: NFL

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary wasn't very involved in Saturday's preseason win over the Jets, amassing five yards off two carries. However, he made up for it by scoring a touchdown in the first quarter. Tyrone Tracy Jr. is the team's starter. That's not expected to change anytime soon. However, with Cam Skattebo (hamstring) having trouble getting on the field during the preseason, Singletary has a chance to remain more involved than anticipated to begin the 2025 campaign. Still, the 27-year-old has a way to go before earning a spot on fantasy rosters heading into the Week 1 opener versus the Washington Commanders. The Giants will close out the preseason on Thursday night against the Patriots.--Dennis ClausenSource: ESPN

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Roc Taylor secured three of five targets for 39 yards in the team's 17-14 preseason loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. An undrafted rookie out of Memphis, Taylor has generated some buzz this summer as a potential downfield weapon. Unfortunately, he was unable to capitalize on his downfield opportunities on Saturday, most notably when a slightly overthrown ball from quarterback Logan Woodside landed just outside his grasp on what could have been a go-ahead touchdown. Still, Taylor showcased his skills after the catch in the fourth quarter with gains of 12 and 20 yards. While the 22-year-old is competing for a roster spot with more experienced wideouts such as Robert Woods and Scotty Miller, Taylor's youth and ability to win outside make him an intriguing option for Pittsburgh. He will have one more chance to state his case in next week's preseason finale against the Carolina Panthers.--Jorden Hill - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Keandre Lambert-Smith had another strong performance in the team's last-second 23-22 preseason loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The fifth-round pick out of Auburn caught two passes for 66 yards on six targets, including an impressive over-the-shoulder 40-yard catch from Trey Lance while falling out of bounds. The 23-year-old showed flashes throughout preseason and saw extended playing time after Quentin Johnston was carted off the field with a head injury. Lambert-Smith also briefly left the game with a head shot, but later returned. He could move up the fantasy rankings if Johnston misses any significant time, but for now, RotoBaller has Lambert-Smith projected as WR126.--Don FanelliSource: NFL

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Xavier Smith caught all four of his targets for 48 receiving yards during Saturday's preseason victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. He also rushed for five yards. Smith has been quite productive this summer. He paced the team with 55 receiving yards last week, and he now has a total of eight touches and 108 scrimmage yards through two preseason contests. NFL opportunities have been few and far between for the 27-year-old Florida A&M product, but he did total six receiving yards, 36 rushing yards, and a pair of first downs in 2024. Los Angeles' first four wide receiver spots are essentially locked up, which means they only have two or three spots to divide over seven remaining receivers (Smith, Tru Edwards, Mario Williams, Konata Mumpfield, Drake Stoops, Britain Covey, and Brennan Presley).--Andersen PickardSource: NFL.com

New York Giants tight end Greg Dulcich had one catch (one target) for a 20-yard touchdown in Saturday's win over the New York Jets. As a rookie, he had 33 catches for 411 yards and two touchdowns while with the Denver Broncos in 2022. However, Dulcich hasn't done much ever since while battling injuries along the way. He's managed to remain with the Giants since the club picked him up off waivers in November 2024. Still, Dulcich isn't a lock to remain on the roster heading into the Week 1 opener versus the Washington Commanders. That could stay the case even if he plays well in the preseason finale versus the New England Patriots on Thursday night, especially since New York has Theo Johnson and Daniel Bellinger on the roster.--Dennis ClausenSource: ESPN

Los Angeles Chargers' rookie wide receiver Tre Harris had a strong night despite the team's last-second 23-22 preseason loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Harris led the team with six catches for 85 yards on eight targets, including an impressive over-the-shoulder, toe-tap 40-yard catch from Trey Lance that was one yard short of a touchdown. The 23-year-old, a second-round pick from Ole Miss, had been quiet so far this preseason, entering the game with no catches on two targets in the first two games. Rotoballer has Harris projected as WR64.

Los Angeles Rams running back Cody Schrader rushed for 48 yards on 13 carries during Saturday's preseason win over the Los Angeles Chargers. He also caught two of his three targets for an additional 24 receiving yards. Through two preseason games, Schrader has a total of 140 yards. The Missouri product entered this preseason on the outside looking in. He still faces an uphill battle to make the team, as Kyren Williams, Jarquez Hunter, and Blake Corum are essentially roster locks. However, if Los Angeles opts to carry four running backs, Schrader has made a case for himself over Ronnie Rivers. Regardless of Los Angeles' final roster decisions, Schrader will be several rungs away from an impactful role. He should be left on waivers in all fantasy leagues.--Andersen PickardSource: NFL.com

Los Angeles Rams running back Jarquez Hunter carried the ball 15 times for 55 yards during Saturday's preseason win over the Los Angeles Chargers. He also converted his lone target into a two-yard reception. A rookie fourth-round pick out of Auburn, Hunter is the early favorite to win the No. 2 running back job behind incumbent starter Kyren Williams. He has led the backfield in carries in both of the Rams' preseason carries so far, averaging 3.7 yards per rush attempt. Williams should handle the every-down role once again this year, but Hunter represents a very intriguing handcuff option. RotoBaller's NFL experts currently have Hunter ranked as the overall RB61, while teammate Blake Corum ranks as the overall RB59.--Andersen PickardSource: NFL.com

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Brennan Presley caught six of his eight targets for 102 yards during Saturday's preseason win over the Los Angeles Chargers. An undrafted free agent from Oklahoma State, Presley impressed with several big plays, including a contested catch and a nice catch-and-run. Although he entered the preseason with a slim chance to make the team, he has capitalized on every opportunity thrown his way. Through two games, he now has eight receptions, 113 yards, and two touchdowns. Presley is likely competing with Konata Mumpfield, Xavier Smith, Mario Williams, and Tru Edwards for two or three roster spots at the bottom of the depth chart.--Andersen PickardSource: NFL.com

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert played only the first series in the team's 23-22 last-second preseason loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The 27-year-old completed just two of five attempts for 46 yards and took one sack in his brief outing. Now entering his fifth season, Herbert should have a more improved offense this season with the return of second-year receiver Ladd McConkey, rookie Omarion Hampton set for a bigger role, and veteran Charger WR Keenan Allen back on the team. Herbert passed for 3,870 yards and 23 touchdowns with only three interceptions in 2024, adding 306 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. RotoBaller still has Herbert projected as QB16 this season.--Don FanelliSource: NFL

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Stetson Bennett IV completed 28 of his 40 pass attempts for 324 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception during Saturday's preseason win over the Los Angeles Chargers. He also took a sack and rushed for four yards. Bennett led four successful scoring drives, including a game-winning touchdown drive that put the Rams ahead with just 10 seconds left in the fourth quarter. He has played the entirety of the Rams' first two preseason games, totaling five touchdowns and just one interception. He has a firm grasp on the third-string quarterback role behind Matthew Stafford and Jimmy Garoppolo, and given that both of those players are older veterans who could be near the ends of their careers, Bennett's strong preseason could bode well as he auditions for a larger role in the future.--Andersen PickardSource: NFL.com
