Minnesota Vikings cornerback Isaiah Rodgers is an early front-runner to start across from Byron Murphy Jr. in 2025, according to ESPN's Kevin Seifert. Rodgers appeared in 15 games in 2024 for the Philadelphia Eagles but took only 36 percent of their defensive snaps. Minnesota defensive coordinator Brian Flores took a liking to Rodgers early in free-agent evaluations this offseason. The Vikings haven't rewarded Rodgers with a starting job just yet, but head coach Kevin O'Connell said he sees him as an "every-down impact guy" who could also contribute in the return game on special teams. The 27-year-old was a sixth-round pick (211th overall) by the Indianapolis Colts in 2020 out of Massachusetts. He played the first three years of his NFL career in Indy before being suspended for all of 2023 due to a violation of the league's gambling policy. Rodgers inked a two-year, $15 million deal with Minnesota this offseason.

University of Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham will have a top-30 visits with the Cleveland Browns on Monday and the Las Vegas Raiders on Tuesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Graham is considered one of the best defensive tackle prospects in this year's draft class. However, the 21-year-old is unlikely to go to the Browns with the second overall pick in the draft later this month, and Cleveland doesn't have another selection in the first round. It would still probably be a reach for the Raiders to take him with the sixth overall pick, but both teams are obviously intrigued by his talent on the interior of the defensive line after he was a unanimous All-American selection in 2024. In his three seasons with the Wolverines, Graham racked up 108 tackles, nine sacks and 18 tackles for loss.

The Las Vegas Raiders are attempting to work out a trade for cornerback Jack Jones, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Vincent Bonsignore. If the team cannot work out a trade, they plan to release Jones on Monday. Off-field issues and questions about his effort have made the 27-year-old defensive back expendable for the Raiders this offseason, even though he set career-highs in 2024 in tackles (69), interceptions (three) and pass breakups (16) in 17 games played (16 starts). He has one year left on his current deal and could attract some interest on the trade market. If the Raiders release him, Jones should quickly latch on with another team looking for depth in their secondary. Before last season, Jones had 67 tackles (53 solo), four interceptions (three returned for touchdowns), 11 pass breakups, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 25 games (five starts) with the Raiders and New England Patriots.

University of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders thinks that his son and quarterback
Shedeur Sanders and Heisman Trophy winner are the top two players available in this year's NFL draft. "They should be going 1-2 [in the draft], that's the way I feel about it. They are the two best players in this draft. ... The surest bets in this draft are those two young men, and I didn't stutter or stammer when I said that," Deion said. Sanders and Hunter didn't take part in most of the position drills or physical testing at Colorado's Pro Day on Friday, but Sanders had a throwing session, and Hunter was one of the receivers who participated. Miami QB Cam Ward is believed to be the consensus top pick in this year's draft by the Titans at No. 1 overall, while Hunter is ranked at No. 1 on Mel Kiper Jr.'s big board. It would be a surprise if one of Sanders or Hunter fell outside of the top five in this year's draft.

Denver Broncos exclusive-rights free-agent linebacker Dondre Tillman will officially return to the team in 2025 after signing his exclusive-rights tender worth $960,000 on Friday, according to KPRC's Aaron Wilson. Tillman will return for his second season with the Broncos after picking up 23 tackles (13 solo), five sacks, five tackles for loss and seven QB hits in 12 regular-season games (zero starts). The 26-year-old went undrafted out of Indiana (PA) before latching on with the Giants and impressing as a rotational pass-rusher for a Broncos defense that was one of the best in the league in 2024. Tillman will most likely serve in a similar role in his second NFL season in 2025, but if he continues to be productive, he could be given an elevated role, especially if injuries along the defensive line open up an opportunity.

Former Las Vegas Raiders defensive lineman Janarius Robinson agreed to an undisclosed deal with the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday. Robinson will add depth and pass-rushing ability to the team's defensive line under coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. The 25-year-old former fourth-rounder (134th overall) by the Minnesota Vikings in 2021 out of Florida State made his NFL debut with the Raiders in 2023 and has just 13 tackles (seven solo), 1.5 sacks, four QB hits and one pass breakup in the last two years in Vegas over 16 games (three starts). The 6-foot-5, 260-pound defensive end was suspended for the final three games of last season for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. Robinson will merely be hoping to impress the coaching staff enough to earn a 53-man roster spot this summer in training camp.

New York Jets restricted free-agent safety Tony Adams signed his restricted free-agent tender on Friday and will return to the organization for a fourth straight season in 2025. Adams had his second straight 80-plus-tackle season in 2024 with 84 total tackles (42 solo), his first career sack, an interception and six pass breakups in 15 games played (11 starts). The 26-year-old defensive back has become a key member of the secondary the last two years, having recorded a total of 166 tackles (96 solo), eight tackles for loss, one sack, four interceptions and 11 pass breakups in 30 games (26 starts). Barring additions through the upcoming NFL draft, Adams should be expected to serve as New York's starting strong safety this fall. In his first year in the NFL in 2022, he played in just 11 games (one start) and had 17 tackles (10 solo).

After it was initially reported that University of Colorado wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter wasn't expected to work out at his school's Pro Day on Friday, NFL Network's James Palmer reports that Hunter has decided to run routes, according to a source. Hunter will work with quarterback
Shedeur Sanders, who along with Hunter, is expected to be an early pick in this year's NFL draft. The 21-year-old dual-threat player has generational talent, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him taken within the top three picks at the end of April. He was listed as a defensive back at the scouting combine in February and will most likely make more of an immediate impact on defense in the NFL, but whatever team drafts him will also certainly create a package of plays for him on offense as well. In his two seasons with the Buffaloes on offense, Hunter had 153 catches for 1,979 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Former Texas A&M defensive lineman Shemar Stewart is meeting with the defensive coaches and front-office members of the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, according to Ryan Fowler of The Draft Network. The 21-year-old spent three seasons with the Aggies and racked up 65 tackles (30 solo), 4.5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, four pass deflections, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble in 37 career games. Stewart is expected to be a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and Dallas could be interested in taking an edge prospect to play opposite Micah Parson despite signing Dante Fowler Jr. this offseason. The Cowboys hold the No. 12 pick in the first round of this month's draft.

The New York Giants have become the popular landing spot for former Colorado wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter following the organization's signing of quarterback
Russell Wilson. With Wilson,
Jameis Winston, and
Tommy DeVito on the roster, the belief is New York could be choosing to address its franchise quarterback position in the future given the weak 2025 NFL Draft QB class. The team is likely interested in Miami's Cam Ward, but the Titans are asking for a significant package of first-round selections to move off the No. 1 overall pick. That said, the Giants could take the "best player available" approach with the No. 3 overall pick if they are not sold on Colorado quarterback
Shedeur Sanders. If Hunter ends up in New York and plays wide receiver, his upside in Year 1 could be limited while playing alongside
Malik Nabers and catching passes from an aging Wilson. That said, he is an elite talent, so he could exceed expectations right away.

Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown (knee) missed his entire rookie season in 2023 due to a torn ACL before returning and being a productive member of the Dallas defense in 2024. The Texas product registered 90 tackles, five sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one interception, four pass deflections, and one defensive touchdown in 13 games. Unfortunately, he suffered another ACL tear, costing him the final four games of the regular season. Heading into 2025, Overshown is ready for a bounceback campaign. "The future's looking good, let me tell you that," Overshown said Thursday during an appearance on Good Morning Football. "Just how I came off of last year, I'm 100% positive. I have my sights set high. Not only do I want to be nominated for the Comeback Player of the Year, but I'm going to be the Comeback Player of the Year." Last season, Overshown ranked 13th in total fantasy points from Week 1 until suffering his ACL tear in Week 14.

The Washington Commanders signed free-agent defensive end T.J. Maguranyanga to an undisclosed deal on Thursday, according to NFL.com. The 22-year-old former professional rugby player from Harare, Zimbabwe, comes to Washington via the NFL's International Player Pathway program. He most recently played for ASM Clermont Auvergne in the French Top 14, a French rugby union league. Maguranyanga also played for the Golden Lions in the Under-18 Craven Week from 2015 to 2021. He'll just be hoping to make an impression on the Commanders' coaching staff while learning the game this summer heading into training camp. Maguranyanga will be a long shot to see regular playing time as he transitions to American football in 2025.

Veteran free-agent safety Mike Edwards is signing an undisclosed one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday, a source tells NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. After spending the 2024 season with the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Edwards will return to Kansas City after winning the Super Bowl with them in 2023. The 28-year-old former third-rounder (99th overall) by the Buccaneers in 2019 out of Hawaii played in only eight combined games (two starts) in Buffalo and Tampa last year and has 12 tackles (seven solo). In his lone season with the Chiefs in 2023, Edwards compiled 51 tackles (32 solo), one sack, one interception, five pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries (one returned for a touchdown) in 17 regular-season games (five starts). The six-year NFL veteran will provide depth for Steve Spagnuolo's defense and won't be relevant in IDP fantasy leagues.

Cincinnati Bengals All-Pro pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson said on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday that he's not looking for a short-term deal from Cincinnati and began asking for a long-term deal from the Bengals with guaranteed money three years ago. Hendrickson, who has the third-most sacks in the NFL since 2020 (70.5), sounds frustrated that he hasn't been able to get an extension worked out with the Bengals yet, but he's not willing to put a timeline on when he might prefer a trade out of town this offseason. The 30-year-old said he doesn't have any desire to become the highest-paid defender in the league, but the communication of late with him and the team has been poor. He sounds fed up, but in all fairness, it was always going to be hard for Cincy to lock up all three of Hendrickson and receivers
Ja'Marr Chase and
Tee Higgins to long-term deals. It doesn't sound like a Hendrickson extension is close.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers restructured the contract of safety Antoine Winfield on Wednesday to free up more salary cap space in 2025, according to FOX Sports' Greg Auman. Winfield's $21 million base salary for this year was moved to a minimum salary and a bonus, and a void year was added. The move creates $15.86 million in additional cap space. Tampa made a similar move with offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs' contract last month to create another $19.86 million in cap space. Winfield, the team's second-round pick (45th overall) in 2020 out of Minnesota, was a Pro Bowler in 2021 and was named a first-team All-Pro in 2023. However, he played in a career-low nine games in 2024 due to injuries and had 60 tackles (34 solo), two sacks and a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown. If fully healthy in 2025, he should be considered a weekly defensive-back starter in IDP fantasy formats.
