Titans Continue To Address Offense, Select Elic Ayomanor
Elic Ayomanor with the 136th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Less than two days after drafting quarterback Cam Ward, the Titans are making a clear effort to support him with young pass-catchers. Their first three Day 3 picks were used on a pair of wide receivers and a tight end. Ayomanor is a playmaker who can work vertically and projects to contribute in a depth role at the NFL level. He and fellow fourth-round pick Chimere Dike will presumably open the year behind Calvin Ridley, Tyler Lockett, and perhaps Van Jefferson.Source: NFL.com
The Tennessee Titans have selected Stanford wide receiver Jalen Beeks Avoids Serious Injury
Jalen Beeks (forearm) came back negative following his early removal from the team's loss against the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday. The 31-year-old picked up his fourth hold in the contest, allowing one hit while striking out one batter. However, he was struck with a comebacker on his left forearm. Fortunately, there was no structural damage to his arm, but the injury required him to leave the game as his arm immediately began to swell. He can be considered day-to-day for now. Beeks has been superb for the D-Backs in 2025, bolstering a 0.60 ERA and 0.73 WHIP over 15 innings pitched. He's struck out 15 batters (27.3% K%) to just three walks on the season.Source: Steve Gilbert
Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports that x-rays on Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Chiefs Bolster Receiver Room With Jalen Royals
Jalen Royals with the 133rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Royals, who was a candidate to be selected on Day 2, represents the Chiefs' latest attempt to bolster the wide receiver room for quarterback Patrick Mahomes. He caught 126 passes for 1,914 yards and 21 touchdowns over his final two collegiate seasons. He is a versatile, well-rounded receiver who can make an impact right away, though he could initially be blocked on the depth chart by Xavier Worthy, Rashee Rice, and Marquise Brown.Source: Jordan Schultz
The Kansas City Chiefs have selected Lucas Giolito Starting On Wednesday Vs. Toronto
Lucas Giolito (hamstring) will line up for his first scheduled start of the season this coming Wednesday when his team squares off against the Toronto Blue Jays for their second game of the series. The veteran hurler has been shelved since Spring Training after suffering a low-grade hamstring strain. Giolito had a rough go over his five rehab starts, compiling a 5.19 ERA in 17.1 innings with a 17:13 K:BB ratio across two levels. He was better for Triple-A Worcester, but walked ten batters in 10.1 innings there. The former first-round pick hasn't pitched in the Majors since 2023 after missing all of last season due to an internal brace procedure on his elbow. He has the tools to boost Boston's rotation, but fantasy managers may want to exhibit caution before immediately slotting him into their lineups.Source: Christopher Smith
Boston Red Sox pitcher Commanders Add Jaylin Lane To Wide Receiver Room
Jaylin Lane with the 128th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Lane is a physical and speedy runner who is capable of accruing yards after the catch, but his route running needs improvement. He caught 79 passes for 1,004 yards and eight touchdowns over his final two collegiate seasons. Washington's wide receiver room already features Terry McLaurin, Deebo Samuel Sr., Michael Gallup, and Noah Brown, so Lane's best route to earning playing time could be special teams. The Commanders also presumably aren't ready to give up on Luke McCaffrey, who was last year's third-round pick.Source: John Keim
The Washington Commanders selected Virginia Tech wide receiver Browns Select Dylan Sampson With 126th Pick
Dylan Sampson with the 126th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Sampson has previously dealt with fumbling issues, but he possesses a high football IQ and has shown an ability to fight for extra yards after first contact. He is also capable of being a workhorse back, which was on display as he rushed 258 times for 1,491 and 22 touchdowns as a senior last season. It will be interesting to monitor the running back competition in Cleveland this summer. The Browns already had Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr., and now they've added Sampson and Quinshon Judkins via the draft.Source: Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns have selected Tennessee running back Tyler O'Neill Heading To The IL
Tyler O'Neill (neck) on the 10-day IL retroactive to Apr 24 with neck soreness. O's manager, Brandon Hyde, stated that he's "hopeful" it's a minimum stay for the veteran. O'Neill has been battling his neck issue for a few weeks now, and he'll finally have time to get it sorted. The power-hitting right-hander has had trouble staying healthy over the years, and 2025 has been no different. Baltimore recalled outfielder Dylan Carlson in a corresponding move. Before his trip to the IL, the 29-year-old had been scuffling at the plate, batting .118 over his last 51 at-bats (six hits). It's possible his neck ailment is at least partially to blame.Source: Mark Brown
The Baltimore Orioles have placed outfielder Titans Use Fourth-Round Pick On Gunnar Helm
Gunnar Helm at pick No. 122 overall in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The big man's third year at Texas put him firmly on draft radars with a breakout season of 60 catches for 786 yards and seven touchdowns as the Longhorns made the College Football Playoff. At 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds, Helm is a big target for new quarterback Cameron Ward, whom the Titans selected first overall. Tennessee added Florida receiver Chimere Dike earlier in the day and recently signed veteran Tyler Lockett, giving the young signal caller some options in the passing game.Source: NFL.com
The Tennessee Titans continued to add to their offense by selecting Texas tight end Rams Select Jarquez Hunter In Fourth Round
Jarquez Hunter with the 117th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Hunter is a physical runner known for his ability to earn extra yards after first contact. He demonstrates good decision-making skills and football IQ, which, paired with his physicality, makes him an intriguing option in short-yardage situations. With that said, Hunter might not be limited to only short-yardage plays; he led the SEC with 6.4 yards per carry last season. He totaled 1,201 yards on the ground and scored nine touchdowns along the way. Los Angeles' young backfield now features Kyren Williams, Blake Corum, and Hunter.Source: Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams selected Auburn running back Mike Trout Blasts His Ninth Home Run Of The Season
Mike Trout saw a pitch from Minnesota Twins reliever Cole Sands in the seventh inning and deposited it into the left field seats for his ninth of the season as the Angels lost to the Twins 11-4. He is now tied for the MLB lead in that department. Trout is enjoying a nice power surge to start the 2025 campaign, but is only batting .185 thus far. Look for Trout to find more consistency at the plate throughout the season, but his power production has been incredible for fantasy managers. He is now slashing .185/.280/.511 with the nine home runs, 14 runs scored, and 18 RBI to go with two stolen bases. Next up for Trout are a few right-handed Twins pitchers, Simeon Woods Richardson and Joe Ryan, to wrap their three-game series against the Twins.Source: ESPN
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Texans Trade Up For Woody Marks
Woody Marks with the 116th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Houston traded a future third-round pick for the right to select Marks in the fourth round. Marks is an advanced runner with good vision and decision-making at the line of scrimmage. He can contribute in all facets of the offense with his blocking skills in protection, his ability to create missed tackles in the rushing attack, and his reliable hands in the passing game. He showcased this multi-threat ability at USC with 1,133 rushing yards, 321 receiving yards, and nine total touchdowns as a senior. Joe Mixon is still the No. 1 running back in Houston, but Marks has a strong chance to usurp Dameon Pierce as Mixon's backup.Source: Jordan Schultz
The Houston Texans have selected USC running back Jets Select Arian Smith In Fourth Round
Arian Smith with the 110th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He caught 48 passes for 817 yards and four touchdowns during his senior campaign with the Bulldogs. Smith's speed is undeniable, but there are legitimate concerns about his hands and his ability to come down with contested catches. He should be viewed as a developmental piece for the Jets, as it appears unlikely that he would start over Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard, or Josh Reynolds.Source: New York Jets
The New York Jets have selected Georgia wide receiver Adley Rutschman, Ryan Mountcastle Not In Game 1 Lineup
Adley Rutschman and first baseman Ryan Mountcastle will take a seat in game one of their doubleheader on Saturday against the Detroit Tigers with Casey Mize on the mound. Both Orioles hitters have been struggling lately; however, the decision by manager Brandon Hyde not to start them in Game 1 is due to the nature of the doubleheader, so fantasy managers should not look too much into it. In the meantime, Gary Sanchez will start behind the plate and bat eighth in place of Rutschman. Ryan O'Hearn will start at first base because of Mountcastle, moving Jordan Westburg into the designated hitter spot while Ramon Urias starts at third base.Source: Baltimore Orioles
Baltimore Orioles catcher Panthers Select Trevor Etienne 114th Overall
Trevor Etienne with the 114th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He is the brother of current Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. The younger Etienne is known for his ability to make good cuts at the line of scrimmage, identify gaps, and avoid tacklers. He doesn't have great burst and isn't going to break a lot of tackles, but he still runs well and makes up for any deficiencies with his vision and football IQ. During his senior campaign at Georgia, Etienne totaled 609 rushing yards, 194 receiving yards, and nine total touchdowns. He is capable of being a dual-threat running back but might not earn snaps right away in a backfield that features Chuba Hubbard and Rico Dowdle. Don't forget that the organization also has young running back Jonathan Brooks (knee) recovering from a season-ending ACL tear.Source: Connor Hughes
The Carolina Panthers have selected Georgia running back Edwin Diaz Wasn't Available Friday Due To Recent Usage
Edwin Diaz (hip) was injured on Wednesday during his outing against the Philadelphia Phillies and has not returned to game action since. Mike Puma of the New York Post reported on Friday that Diaz could play catch before Friday's game without any issues. However, Mets manager Carlos Mendoza elected not to use him in a save situation that night due to his recent workload. This is an encouraging sign for Diaz and fantasy owners, as it seems likely he will be available at some point either Saturday or Sunday, if not next week at the latest. Without Diaz available, Ryne Stanek blew the save for the Mets on Friday, as the Washington Nationals won in walk-off fashion in the bottom of the ninth.Source: Mike Puma
New York Mets closer Giants Take CFP Darling Cam Skattebo
Cam Skattebo is headed to the New York Giants with pick No. 105 in the 2025 NFL Draft. The former Sun Devil starred in his team's surprise run to the College Football Playoff, compiling an effective 1,711 yards and a whopping 21 touchdowns on the year. Skattebo projects as a power back with tackle-breaking potential, a solid fit for a Giants team that saw an encouraging rookie season from fellow running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. last season. New York has totally revamped its offense during the past 12 months, drafting wide receiver Malik Nabers, moving on from quarterback Daniel Jones, signing Russell Wilson, drafting Jaxson Dart, and now selecting a second high-profile back who will be on a rookie contract.Source: NFL.com
Arizona State running back Darius Garland Won't Suit Up For Game 3
Darius Garland (toe) won't play on Saturday against the Heat. He played well in the first two games of the series. Unfortunately, a great toe sprain, an injury Garland battled during the regular season, will keep him off the floor for Game 3. Without Garland in the lineup, Donovan Mitchell will likely see a bump in usage. Ty Jerome and De'Andre Hunter should also benefit from a fantasy standpoint, no matter their roles.Source: NBA Injury Report
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Ha-Seong Kim Targeting June/July Return
Ha-Seong Kim (shoulder) is targeting a June/July return to the lineup for the Rays. He is reportedly doing well in his rehab from offseason shoulder surgery last October to fix a torn labrum in his right shoulder. Although he has not seen any game action, he has been throwing, hitting, and taking ground balls since March. The Rays will likely want to get him some minor league action before his return, and if that is the case, the Rays will try to get him playing by mid-May, if he is targeting a June/July return. Kim, a career .242/.326/.380 hitter, will likely take over daily shortstop duties for the Rays upon his return. Kim is a decent stash in 14-plus team leagues or should solely be relied on as a base stealer in category leagues.Source: Sports by Tampa Bay Times
Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Jags Bolster Backfield With Bhayshul Tuten
Bhayshul Tuten at pick No. 104 of the 2025 NFL Draft. The former Hokie surpassed 1,100 yards rushing last season, had the fastest running back time at the NFL Combine, and worked his way into serious Day 2 consideration before ultimately being one of the first picks of Day 3. The Jags, who paid the price to move up and select Colorado's Travis Hunter in the first round, continued to add to their offense with yet another running back. Tuten will join a backfield that already includes Tank Bigsby and Travis Etienne, the latter of whom is currently scheduled to be a free agent in 2026.Source: NFL.com
The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Virginia Tech running back Titans Selected Chimere Dike At No. 103
Chimere Dike is off the board to the Tennessee Titans at No. 103 in the 2025 NFL Draft, the first pick of the fourth round. The Wisconsin transfer had a so-so final college season, pulling in 42 passes for 783 yards and two touchdowns. At a flat 6-foot and 195, Dike doesn't have great size, but he ran a 4.34 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine that helped his pro prospects. With Tennessee already having selected quarterback Cameron Ward at No. 1 overall, the franchise went in search of a weapon with some speed. He'll join a receiver room with Calvin Ridley and the recently signed Tyler Lockett.Source: NFL.com
Florida wide receiver Darius Garland Unavailable For Pregame Warmup
Darius Garland (toe) was not present during his "usual" pregame warmup time heading into Saturday's postseason clash with the Heat. He played well in Game 2, finishing with 21 points and nine assists. However, Garland appeared on the injury report for Game 3 because of a great toe strain, an injury he dealt with during the regular season. Kenny Atkinson can go in several different directions regarding the starting lineup if he can't suit up. Still, Garland's absence will likely result in an uptick in usage for Donovan Mitchell, with Ty Jerome expected to see plenty of attention from DFS managers.Source: Chris Fedor
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Yankees and Blue Jays Postponed On Saturday
Max Fried and Kevin Gausman will likely start one of the two games tomorrow, considering they were the probable starters on Saturday. The Blue Jays have an off day on Monday, while the Yankees will hit the road and head to Baltimore to take on the Orioles in a three-game series before an off day on Thursday.Source: New York Yankees
Saturday's game between the New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays has been postponed due to inclement weather and has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 27. Both teams will now play a doubleheader on Sunday, with the first game starting at 1:35 pm and the second game following the first game's conclusion. Starting pitchers have not been officially announced; however, Colt Keith Not In the Lineup For Game One Of Doubleheader
Colt Keith isn't in the lineup for the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Baltimore Orioles. Keith has gone 2-for-10 over his last five games with one RBI and a run scored. With Keith sitting in game one, Spencer Torkelson will occupy first base, Zack McKinstry will be in right field, and Gleyber Torres will play second base. The Tigers have a doubleheader on Saturday, so Keith will likely start in game two. Keith has been underperforming this season after a promising rookie year, slashing an ugly .188/.333/.219 with eight runs scored and three RBI with no home runs. He will look to get back on track after sitting out game one.Source: Detroit Tigers
Detroit Tigers second baseman Jrue Holiday Classified As "Day-To-Day"
Jrue Holiday (hamstring) is considered "day-to-day." The Celtics' injury report for Sunday's meeting with the Orlando Magic hasn't been released. However, it's safe to say Holiday will be listed on it heading into that one. The 34-year-old averaged only 10 points in the first two games of the series. Yet, he was certainly missed on the defensive end in the Game 3 loss on Friday night. If Holiday can't suit up for Game 4, Al Horford, who is coming off a six-point, seven rebound, two-block effort, will likely remain in the starting lineup, with Luke Kornet expected to receive more minutes from off the bench.Source: Jay King
According to Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla, guard Spencer Steer Hits Two-Run Home Run On Friday
Spencer Steer went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and two runs scored in Friday's 8-7 win over the Rockies. Steer was back at first base for the fourth straight game after opening the season exclusively as a DH, and has gone 5-for-17 (.294) over that time. Perhaps more importantly, he's struck out just once in his last 20 plate appearances (5.0 percent) after striking out 18 times in his first 59 PA (30.5 percent). After back-to-back 20-home run campaigns, hopefully Friday's home run gets the right-handed hitter going. The Reds get another shot at the Rockies in Colorado on Saturday against Antonio Senzatela, and although Steer has no matchup history with the pitcher, the righty sports a 4.81 ERA and 1.93 WHIP, making all of Cincinnati's hitters viable DFS options. Cincinnati Reds first baseman Agustin Ramirez Hits First Career Home Run In Multi-Hit Effort
Agustin Ramirez kept on hitting on Friday, going 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two RBI, and a run scored in the 8-4 win over the Mariners. The home run was his first, and it marked the third consecutive multi-hit performance to begin his big league career. Not only that, the 23-year-old has drawn two free passes and has yet to strike out in 12 plate appearances. The Marlins' fourth-ranked prospect is making good on the promise he showed in the minors and is looking like a fantasy stud so far, now 7-for-10 (.700) with five of the seven hits going for extra bases. The Dominican backstop has also stolen a base, somewhat of a rarity for catchers, and is eligible at both C and 1B on Yahoo!, making him all the more appealing. His rostership stands at 31 percent, but is worth a roster spot in all formats until he proves otherwise.Source: ESPN
Miami Marlins catcher Jacob Wilson Hits Third Home Run In Three-Hit Game On Friday
Jacob Wilson continued his hot start with a 3-for-4 night at the plate in a 6-5 win over the White Sox on Friday, smacking his third home run of the year and collecting two RBI in the contest. The former first-rounder has now hit safely in 23 of the first 25 games, slashing a robust .347/.354/.500 with a .374 wOBA and a 149 wRC+. With a low 5.1 percent strikeout rate and 91.5 percent contact rate, expect the right-handed hitter to continue to put the bat on the ball, and hitting at Sutter Health Park may even provide a little more power than fantasy managers were expecting. The 23-year-old is putting together a strong case for AL Rookie of the Year, and can continue to be used in both season-long and DFS formats.Source: ESPN
Athletics shortstop Paul Skenes Strikes Out Nine In Win Over Dodgers
Paul Skenes dominated the Dodgers on Friday, throwing six-and-a-third innings of scoreless ball, scattering five hits while walking none and striking out nine on his way to earning the win in the 3-0 victory. That makes three consecutive quality starts for the righty and four quality starts out of six, now with a 3-2 record to go along with a 2.39 ERA (1.70 FIP), 0.80 WHIP, and a pristine 24.6 percent K-BB%. The 2024 NL Rookie of the Year's next start lines up with the Cubs at home next week, which should be a tough test as Chicago is averaging the highest runs per game in all of baseball to start the year, with the fourth-highest team batting average against right-handed pitching.Source: ESPN
Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Shane Baz Tosses Seven Shutout Innings In Win
Shane Baz silenced San Diego's bats on Friday, tossing seven shutout innings, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out six in a tight 1-0 win over the Padres. Baz has had just one hiccup so far this season, which came in his last start against the Yankees, where he allowed five earned runs, but the other four appearances have been quality starts. The righty is now 3-0 with a 2.43 ERA (3.19 xFIP), 0.99 WHIP, and a phenomenal 23.7 percent K-BB% over 29 1/3 IP. The former first-round draft pick's next start will come at home against Kansas City next week, a team that doesn't strike out much but has produced the second-fewest runs per game so far this season.Source: ESPN
Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Trevor Larnach Homers, Collects Four RBI On Friday
Trevor Larnach went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a home run, four RBI, and a run scored in Friday's 11-4 win over the Angels. It was the left-handed hitter's fourth home run of the season, all of which have come in the last seven games after going homer-less in his first 18 contests. The former first-round draft pick is coming off a 15-home run campaign in 2024 after playing a career-high 112 games, and if he can stay in the lineup a bit more in 2025, he's on track to set a new career high in home runs. Through 25 games, the 6-foot-3 slugger is slashing .224/.330/.388 with 13 RBI, 14 runs scored, and a stolen base with a .320 wOBA and 110 wRC+. Unfortunately, Larnach is a career .195 hitter versus left-handed pitching, so he will typically sit against them and can be a frustrating season-long fantasy asset, however, continue to pencil him into DFS lineups against righties while he's hot.Source: ESPN
Minnesota Twins outfielder
