Andres Munoz Secures Save No. 10, Tied For League Lead
Andres Munoz needed just nine pitches to earn his league-leading 10th save of the season on Sunday, nailing down the 7-6 win over the Marlins. The 26-year-old has been a force in 2025, tossing 14 innings of scoreless ball, allowing just five hits and six walks while striking out 18 (23.5 percent K-BB%). The 6-foot-2 hurler has picked up a win along the way as well, leaving him as the highest-scoring fantasy reliever through the first month of the season. This is one of the few bullpens with no question marks, with Munoz the unquestioned closer in Seattle. Continue to deploy him with confidence.Source: ESPN
Seattle Mariners closer Jordan Romano Earns The Save In Extras On Sunday
Jordan Romano came on in the 10th inning of Sunday's matchup with the Cubs, dispatching Chicago on 13 pitches to secure the 3-1 victory and record the save. It was the righty's second save of the season, but he's not expected to log many more, as lefty Jose Alvarado remains the team's primary closer. Romano hasn't pitched particularly well anyhow, allowing 14 earned runs in 10 1/3 innings (12.19 ERA), posting a 2.03 WHIP and a 7.8 percent K-BB%. Perhaps he can get on a roll and become more relevant in leagues that score for holds, as the 32-year-old does have three of those so far in addition to his two saves.Source: ESPN
Philadelphia Phillies reliever Justin Martinez Shaky In Recording Third Save
Arizona Diamondbacks closer Justin Martinez recorded the save on Sunday in a 6-4 victory over the Braves, although it wasn't without some drama. The righty allowed four of the first five batters to reach base (one HBP,read more...
Pete Fairbanks Notches Sixth Save On Sunday
Pete Fairbanks secured the 4-2 victory over the Padres on Sunday, pitching a clean ninth to record his sixth save of the season. Other than a tad too many walks, Fairbanks has been good this season, posting a 2.38 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and a 6:10 BB:K over 11 1/3 innings pitched. The 6-foot-6 hurler has saved 48 games for the Rays over the previous two seasons, but spent time on the injured list twice last year which has been a theme throughout his career, never having pitched more than 45 1/3 innings in the majors. If he can remain healthy this year, it looks like he'd be on track to potentially set career highs in IP and saves, although he doesn't strike out nearly as many as he used to, down to a career low of 7.94 K/9 thus far in 2025. Tampa Bay Rays closer Luis Urias' Home Run Wins It For The A's In Extras
Luis Urias went 1-for-3 with a walk and a walk-off two-run home run in Sunday's 3-2 extra-innings win over the White Sox. It was the second consecutive game with a home run for the 27-year-old and the fourth straight game with a hit. Urias has taken over as the regular second baseman ever since Max Muncy was optioned on April 23 and has been making the most of his opportunities. For the season, the right-handed hitter is slashing .275/.348/.575 with four home runs and a 5:6 BB:K in 47 plate appearances. He'll get a chance to keep rolling on Monday as the A's take on the Rangers' Patrick Corbin, whom Urias is 5-for-13 off of lifetime, including one home run. Urias is usually a cheap DFS option and should be under consideration while he's hitting well.Source: ESPN
Athletics second baseman Rafael Devers Blasts Another Home Run
Rafael Devers went 2-for-6 with a home run in his team's 13-3 win over the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday. Devers added a single and two runs scored while striking out twice. The veteran has had a rough go to begin 2025, but broke out of a 0-for-15 slump over the weekend with a 5-for-13 performance in their series with the Guardians. He's still making excellent contact, and severely underperforming his .260 xBA (.216), so his hot-hitting from this weekend could be the spark that sends him on an upward trajectory for the remainder of the season. The 28-year-old currently holds the highest walk rate of his career (16.8%), and is impacting the ball harder than ever (95.1 MPH average exit velocity) and more often (60% hard-hit rate).Source: ESPN
Boston Red Sox third baseman Braves Sign Eddie Rosario, Option Jarred Kelenic To Triple-A Gwinnett
Jarred Kelenic to the Triple-A Gwinnett Stripers and signed outfielder Eddie Rosario to a major-league contract in a corresponding move. Kelenic, a former first-round pick, hasn't gotten it going at the big-league level, and he's started 2025 incredibly poorly. Despite a hit in four of his last six appearances, the 25-year-old is slashing a disastrous .167/.231/.300 over 60 at-bats (ten hits). Rosario signed a minor-league deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers a few months back and went 1-for-4 in his only two appearances with LA roughly ten days ago. He projects to platoon for Atlanta in the outfield for now.Source: Atlanta Braves
Per the team, the Atlanta Braves have optioned outfielder Brandon Clarke Earns Call To High-A
Franklin Arias, at High-A. Clarke was selected in the fifth round of the 2024 MLB Draft out of State College of Florida Manatee - Sarasota. The 22-year-old made his professional debut at the start of the 2025 campaign with Low-A Salem. Across nine 2/3 innings of work, the southpaw held a stellar 0.92 ERA with a 0.41 WHIP. During this stint, Clarke struck out 17 batters and only served up two walks. Fantasy managers should expect the young southpaw to join the High-A starting rotation. He is a name to monitor in dynasty formats as he could find himself much higher on prospect boards if he continues this pace. He is currently considered the No. 30 prospect in the Boston system on MLB Pipeline.Source: Chris Cotillo
The Boston Red Sox have promoted left-handed pitching prospect Brandon Clarke to High-A Greenville on Monday. Clarke will join fellow Low-A teammate, infielder Hayden Mullins Joining Double-A
Source: Chris Cotillo
The Boston Red Sox are promoting left-handed pitcher Hayden Mullins to Double-A Portland. Mullins has spent the early part of the 2025 season and most of 2024 with High-A Greenville. In 17 innings of work this season, Mullins has posted a 1.06 ERA with a 0.82 WHIP. He has tallied 27 punchouts and served up three free passes. Mullins has made four appearances this season, with three of them coming out of the rotation. Last summer, the 24-year-old held a 3.94 ERA with a 1.29 WHIP across 89 innings of work at High-A. Across this stint, the southpaw flashed similar strikeout upside as he tallied 118, but showed modest command of his pitches as he served up 42 walks. Fantasy managers should expect the Auburn product to remain at Double-A throughout most of the 2025 season.Kristian Campbell Stuffs Stat Sheet In Win
Kristian Campbell went 2-for-2 with a double in Sunday's 13-3 victory over the Cleveland Guardians. The rookie was electric in the drubbing of the Guardians, adding a single, two RBI, four runs scored, and a steal. He's up to a .305 average now, with a .412 OBP and an .886 OPS through his first 27 major-league games. It's an excellent start to his career, as the 22-year-old's advanced eye at the plate has carried over into his first stint in the bigs. Campbell has reached base in eight of his past ten appearances, collecting four multi-hit performances over that span. Additionally, he's been impacting the ball better recently, notching three hard-hit balls over the weekend.Source: ESPN
Boston Red Sox second baseman Franklin Arias Promoted To High-A
Franklin Arias to High-A Greenville. Arias joined the Red Sox organization in 2023 and is already quickly climbing the prospect ranks. Through the early part of the campaign, Arias enjoyed a strong start with Low-A, holding a .346/.407/.397 slash line with four doubles and four stolen bases. Last season, Arias spent most of his time at the Rookie level before earning a brief taste of Low-A. Across both levels, he held a .309/.409/.487 slash line with 25 doubles, nine home runs, and 35 stolen bases. Fantasy managers should monitor the 19-year-old's progression at High-A as he is climbing prospect boards. He currently sits as the No. 4-ranked in the Boston system and the No. 73-overall in the sport on MLB Pipeline.Source: Chris Cotillo
The Boston Red Sox are promoting infield prospect Nolan Jones The Only Source Of Offense Sunday
Nolan Jones went 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in his team's 11-3 loss to the Boston Red Sox. He also drew a walk and struck out. It was Jones' first long ball of the season, and the three RBIs brought him up to five to match his run total. The former second-round pick has had a dreadful start to the year, batting .190 (12-for-63) with five doubles and two steals across 24 appearances. Despite the lack of statistical output, the 26-year-old holds a strong 14.9% walk rate and is hitting the ball incredibly hard. Jones' average exit velocity (96.3 MPH) and hard-hit rate (65%) are the best figures in the bigs. Furthermore, it appears he's having some bad BABIP luck (.244 xBA). With batted ball metrics like this, the home runs should begin to fall as he sees some positive regression.Source: ESPN
Cleveland Guardians outfielder Jordan Sprinkle Heading To High-A
Jordan Sprinkle is being promoted to High-A Winston-Salem. Sprinkle has enjoyed an impressive start to the season with Low-A and is being rewarded with an early-season promotion. Through the first 16 games of the Low-A season, Sprinkle held an impressive .420/.547/.460 slash line with two doubles, 20 stolen bases, and a 10:13 K:BB. The UC Santa Barbara product received a taste of High-A last summer but was unable to hold his own. During his first look at this level, the infielder posted a modest .207/.296/.279 slash line. However, he did show similar speed upside as he swiped 27 bags over this 92-game stint. Fantasy managers should monitor his progression during his next stint at High-A, as he could be in line to take the next step, given his strong start to the 2025 season.Source: Chase Ford
Chicago White Sox infield prospect Braden Montgomery Promoted To High-A
Braden Montgomery is being promoted to High-A Winston-Salem. The White Sox selected Montgomery with the 12th pick in last year's draft, and he is already progressing through the White Sox system fairly quickly. The Texas A&M product opened the 2025 season with Low-A Kannapolis and needed just 18 games to prove he was ready for the next level. Across this brief stint, Montgomery held a .304/.393/.493 slash line with four doubles and three home runs. The young outfielder tallied 19 RBI, swiped six bags, and held a 19:10 K:BB. The 22-year-old is currently considered the No. 5-ranked prospect in the system and the No. 52 overall in the sport, according to MLB Pipeline. Fantasy managers should expect Montgomery to contend for a Double-A promotion later this season if he continues this impressive pace with High-A.Source: Chase Ford
Chicago White Sox outfield prospect J.P. Crawford Launches Second Homer
J.P. Crawford went 2-for-3 with a home run in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Miami Marlins. He added two RBI, two runs scored, one walk, and one strikeout. The veteran connected on a two-run blast in the bottom of the fifth inning -- his second of the season -- off Miami reliever Ronny Henriquez that would put Seattle up 7-2 and prove the winning run as the Marlins mounted a late comeback. Crawford has been much better this season than he was in an abysmal 2024. He's not hitting for much power, and that includes extra-base hits (two doubles), but the average is there, and he's getting on base at a robust clip (.412 OBP). While his spot in the lineup is a detriment to his counting stats, he should still be a nice help, average-wise. Crawford is riding a seven-game hit streak with four multi-hit outings during the stretch.Source: ESPN
