Josh Jacobs Returns On Sunday
Josh Jacobs (cramping) returned to Sunday's matchup against the 49ers. Jacobs has had a stellar showing in Week 12, accumulating 99 yards and two scores off 22 touches. Fortunately, there wasn't much concern regarding his return for this one after he exited due to cramping. However, with the Packers up by two scores heading toward the middle of the fourth quarter, Jacobs may not see much work for the remainder of the contest.Source: TV Broadcast
Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs Uncertain To Return Versus The Niners
Josh Jacobs (cramping) is questionable to return to Sunday's meeting with the 49ers. The veteran has had a monster showing in Week 12, amassing 99 yards and two touchdowns off 22 carries. Fortunately, it doesn't appear as if things are serious, so there's a chance he'll return. But with the Packers up in the contest, he may not be needed for the rest of the day, which would open the door for Emanuel Wilson to get more work.Source: Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers running back Romeo Doubs Ruled Out On Sunday With A Concussion
Romeo Doubs (concussion) won't return to Sunday's matchup against the 49ers. The wideout was leading the way on the receiving end before going down with a concussion, so he'll finish the day with three catches for 54 yards. With that said, the Packers have a quick turnaround before meeting the Dolphins on Thanksgiving, meaning Doubts may not have enough time to get healthy. But until he's back on the field, Christian Watson and Jayden Reed will likely be the favorite targets of Jordan Love.Source: Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Brandon McManus Not Ideal For Week 12
Brandon McManus has done a nice job for the team over the last few weeks. McManus has only missed one field goal and is perfect on extra point attempts over four games with the Packers. They'll head into a tough matchup against the San Francisco 49ers defense in Week 12. The Packers aren't expected to blowout the 49ers even with San Francisco having multiple key injuries on offense. McManus should get chances, but this probably won't be a high-scoring back-and-forth affair between the two teams. It's worth noting that a handful of teams are on bye in Week 12, so fantasy managers could be limited on options. McManus isn't a great fantasy option, but he should be viable for this weekend.Source: ESPN
Green Bay Packers kicker Emanuel Wilson Shouldn't Be Trusted
Emanuel Wilson was barely on the field during last week's win over the Chicago Bears. Wilson was limited to seven percent of the offensive snaps and only carried the ball twice for 17 yards in Week 11. Over the last four games, Wilson has seen five or less carries in each game. Wilson remains the primary backup to Josh Jacobs, which means he probably won't see many carries with Jacobs healthy. That being said, Wilson is worth stashing in dynasty leagues, but isn't worth starting in Week 12.Source: ESPN
Green Bay Packers running back Dontayvion Wicks Not A Viable Option In Week 12
Dontayvion Wicks should be left on all benches in Week 12 when the Packers face the San Francisco 49ers. Wicks has not caught a pass in each of the past two games and has averaged just 2.0 targets during this span. Wicks has only surpassed double-digit PPR points on three occasions this season but fell below 7.0 PPR points in each of the other seven contests. Playing in a crowded Green Bay wide receiver room, Wicks has shown flashes of potential at times but has been unable to see a consistent dose of targets. As a result, fantasy managers in all formats should keep Wicks on their bench. However, managers in deeper formats should continue to stash Wicks on their roster as he could find a path to fantasy stardom if he can find his way toward the top of the depth chart down the stretch.Source: RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed A Low-End WR2 Play In Week 12
Jayden Reed has been a volatile pass-catching option for the Packers but looks to be on the good side of variance as the Packers host the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12. Reed followed up a Week 9 where he had 113 receiving yards with a dud outing after the team's Week 10 bye. With just two receptions and 23 yards, Reed's performance was very disappointing, but at the very least, he did catch a touchdown to soften the blow. Against slot receivers, the 49ers have been incredibly stout, allowing just the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game. While Reed is the most dynamic pass-catching weapon the Packers have, he hasn't been immune to the team's offensive struggles. For Week 12, Reed is a low-end WR2 that we know has the upside for much more.Source: RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Josh Jacobs Will Suit Up In Week 12 Against 49ers
Josh Jacobs (quadricep, calf) will suit up for the Packers in Week 12 after practicing in a limited fashion on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Jacobs was left off the injury report for their matchup with the San Francisco 49ers this week, and he could have some success against a 49ers' run defense that is much more susceptible. The 49ers are just 17th in EPA per rush attempt this season and since Week 6, have the second-highest missed-tackle rate since Week 6 and a middle-of-the-road success rate allowed (13th). Jacobs has been reliant on volume for the most part and that's been readily available to him this season in Green Bay. He'll be incredibly important for the Packers if they are to have success, so Jacobs could be in line for solid production as a back end RB1 for fantasy purposes.Source: RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers running back Jordan Love More Of A QB2 Option Against 49ers In Week 12
Jordan Love has been shaky to say the least over the past few weeks and he'll look to steady the ship as the Packers play host to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12. Love has thrown just one touchdown pass in the past three games after starting his season with five consecutive games of multiple touchdown passes. The Packers are going to need Love to find his footing if the Packers are going to make some noise in the NFC, but the 49ers represent a stiff test. San Francisco has given up the sixth-fewest passing yards per game and the fourth-least passing touchdowns allowed. Love is just a high-end QB2 this week against the 49ers but has the upside to produce in a tough matchup.Source: RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers quarterback Romeo Doubs Merely A Flex Option Against 49ers
Romeo Doubs has had a tough go of things over the last couple of weeks, but he looks to right the ship as the Packers square off with the visiting San Francisco 49ers in Week 12. Despite running the most routes per dropback each week for the Packers, Doubs hasn't had the production come with that time on the field as he has just seven targets, five receptions, and 45 receiving yards in his last two games. It hasn't been as fruitful of a time for the Packers' passing game as quarterback Jordan Love hasn't thrown for multiple touchdown passes in his last three games. With Doubs' falling production and the stingy 49ers pass defense set to take on the Packers, Doubs should be considered a mid-range flex play at best with a lower ceiling and a somewhat-shaky floor.Source: RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson A Volatile Flex Play In Week 12
Christian Watson is looking to build off the best game of his 2024 season as the Packers host the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12. Watson amassed four receptions and 150 receiving yards and was hugely efficient for the Packers in their win over the Chicago Bears in Week 11. Besides that outburst, Watson has been kept relatively in check by defenses and hasn't been given a full complement of snaps and routes as he's rotated with Dontayvion Wicks and Jayden Reed at times. Still, Watson hasn't been able to make the most of his opportunities, which makes him a volatile fantasy asset to start. That puts Watson squarely into flex territory in a tough matchup with the 49ers in Week 12.Source: RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Consider Tucker Kraft A High-End Streaming TE Against 49ers
Tucker Kraft looks to get out of his production slump as the Packers host the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12. If you've started Kraft in fantasy football over the past couple of weeks, you've no doubt been disappointed. Just before the Packers' bye in Week 10, Kraft was held to four catches for 34 yards on six targets. Last week after the team's bye, Kraft was completely stymied with just one target and no catches. The Packers' offense has been in a funk lately with quarterback Jordan Love not throwing for double-digit touchdowns in the last three games. With the Packers set to tangle with a tough pass defense in the 49ers, Kraft is in the streaming category of fantasy tight ends this week, where you're hoping for a touchdown to make starting him worth it.Source: RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers tight end Packers D/ST A Solid Play In Week 12 Against 49ers
Brock Purdy (shoulder) as he was ruled out of Sunday's matchup due to a shoulder injury. Journeyman backup Brandon Allen will get the nod for the suddenly reeling 49ers who are looking to crawl out of a 5-5 hole on the season to reach the playoffs in the NFC. For the Packers, their defense hasn't been great over the last four games, but their three-sack and a blocked kick against the Chicago Bears were good enough to place in the top-ten for fantasy defenses. With Allen in at quarterback on the road at Lambeau Field, the Packers should get a solid upgrade to become plenty startable in Week 12.Source: RotoBaller
The Green Bay Packers defense and special teams unit got a bit of an upgrade and should now be considered a pretty good option in fantasy lineups as the Packers host the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12. The 49ers will be without quarterback Josh Jacobs Stays Limited On Thursday
Josh Jacobs (calf, quadriceps) was limited in practice for the second straight day this week on Thursday. Jacobs was also listed with a quad injury last week but played through it on his way to 18 carries for 76 yards and his fourth rushing touchdown of the season in the win over the division-rival Chicago Bears. He also caught four of five targets for a season-best 58 yards. Jacobs' status is worth watching leading up to Sunday's contest against the visiting San Francisco 49ers, and if he's active, he should be considered a low-end RB1 that should be in most starting fantasy lineups. The 49ers defense hasn't been quite as strong in 2024 as in years past and they've allowed the ninth-most half-PPR points per game to RBs in the last three weeks. The 26-year-old has seen a strong 19.9 touches per game in his first year in Green Bay.Source: Packers.com
Green Bay Packers running back Jaire Alexander Dealing With Torn PCL, No Timetable For A Return
Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman
Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee) said on Thursday that he's dealing with a torn PCL that he suffered in the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8. Alexander missed the Week 9 game against the Detroit Lions. The Packers had their bye in Week 10, and Alexander played just 10 defensive snaps in last week's win over the Chicago Bears before leaving the game and not returning. He's hoping to return to the All-Pro form he had in 2020 and 2022 but doesn't know exactly when he might be back with the team. Alexander did say, though, that "I just need more than 21 days of non-contact." The veteran defensive back has missed 27 of a potential 61 regular-season games since the start of 2021, with 26 of them coming due to injury. Alexander can still be an elite corner when healthy, but Green Bay's secondary will be more vulnerable in Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers.
