Nolan Gorman Activated From Injured List
1 year agoThe St. Louis Cardinals activated infielder Nolan Gorman (back) from the 10-day injured list and optioned infielder Jose Fermin to Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding move. The Cardinals also placed right-hander Drew VerHagen on the bereavement list and recalled right-hander Guillermo Zuniga from Memphis. Gorman spent the minimum 10 days on the IL with a lower-back strain, but he won't be in the lineup on Friday against the Philadelphia Phillies. Taylor Motter is making another start at the keystone and will hit eighth. The 23-year-old Gorman deserves to be rostered in all fantasy formats, and he'll return to a season slash line of .241/.328/.487 with an .815 OPS, 24 home runs, 67 RBI, six stolen bases and 50 runs scored in 357 at-bats.
