NFL Evaluators Torn On Anthony Richardson
2 years agoUniversity of Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson is an interesting player heading into this year's NFL draft. "I can't remember a bigger variance league-wide on a feeling about a QB than Anthony Richardson," ESPN's Jeremy Fowler said. Richardson has plenty of ability, but some NFL front offices are legitimately torn on where he should be drafted in April. ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay has Richardson as his No. 4 QB prospect heading into the 2023 draft after he threw for 2,549 yards, 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions while rushing for 654 yards and nine TDs in 12 games in 2022. Some team's have first-round grades on him, while others have fourth-round grades for Richardson. One NFL executive said he's Cam Newton and Justin Fields combined. Ideally, Richardson will head to a team where he can sit behind a veteran for a year or two to develop.
