Detroit Red Wings defenseman Moritz Seider ended a cold spell with a pair of assists in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Rangers. Both of his helpers came on the power play with Jakub Vrana and Tyler Bertuzzi the scorers. He now boasts 39 assists and 44 points for his rookie campaign. Seider, who had gone pointless in 10 of his last 11 appearances prior to Wednesday, has tied Dale McCourt for the seventh-most assists in a season by a Red Wings rookie, and he's now just 10 off from the club's rookie record, which is shared by Marcel Dionne and Nicklas Lidstrom.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
