Mike Yastrzemski Suffers A Setback
1 year agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski (hamstring) suffered a setback with his hamstring injury while running the bases over the weekend, according to the team. Yastrzemski is going to give his hamstring another week of rest to see how it responds. The 32-year-old has been out with his hamstring ailment since late July and will now miss a little bit more of time. With Yaz still sidelined, the Gigantes recalled outfield prospect Wade Meckler, the team's No. 11 prospect per MLB Pipeline, and he's making his major-league debut on Monday night against the Tampa Bay Rays. When healthy, Yastrzemski is mostly an option for some power in deeper fantasy leagues. Before going on the IL, he was hitting .233 (59-for-253) with 11 homers, 32 RBI and 43 runs scored in 77 contests.
