7 years agoColorado Rockies fourth outfielder Mike Tauchman will get a rare start on Saturday while Ian Desmond gets the day off. Tauchman has only started one other game in the last ten days, and he has been absolutely terrible at the plate this season. Tauchman has only been able to scratch out one hit in 22 at-bats so far this year, and he's only walked once as well. After a hot spring training, Tauchman was considered a bit of a sleeper in an outfield full of sleepers (others include David Dahl, Raimel Tapia, and even Desmond, himself), but he hasn't shown any of that promise in the regular season.
