Micah Parsons 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Needs Tackles to Become Top DL

Micah Parsons is a prime contender for Defensive Player of the Year in 2025... but Myles Garrett is living proof that an edge rusher can be the best in the NFL, but it doesn't mean they will be fantasy's top DL. The fantasy problem for Garrett is the same for Parsons, too. Both players sit near the top of the NFL in Pass Rush Win Rate and Pressure Rate every year, yet neither has eclipsed 17 sacks or 50 solo tackles in their careers. With a sea of tackle-collecting outside linebackers now eligible at DL in fantasy, Parsons has an uphill battle to compete for fantasy supremacy with T.J. Watt, Andrew Van Ginkel, and perhaps even Jalon Walker if the rookie's role is what we expect. With that said, Parsons was on pace to set career high in sacks had he played a full season in 2024. Plus, the Penn State alum is still just 26 years old, and the best of his career is still in front of him. It is that youth and upside that pushes Parsons over Garrett and Nick Bosa in our DL ranks, placing him just behind Watt and Van Ginkel.--Chris Gregory - RotoBallerRead More News
