Max Fried Leaves Early Monday
4 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Max Fried left his start on Monday against the New York Mets with an undisclosed injury in the seventh inning. Fried had thrown six innings of one-run ball before leaving his start, giving up five hits while walking two and striking out eight to drop his ERA on the year to 5.46 over six starts. The 27-year-old left-hander had a rough first month of the season, allowing 14 earned runs in 11 innings pitched for an 11.45 ERA in three starts before landing on the injured list with a hamstring ailment. Since returning, Fried has given up just three earned runs in his last three starts this month, including Monday's outing. Fortunately for his fantasy managers and the Braves, Fried's latest injury doesn't require another stint on the injured list. Check back for more updates on his status.
