Carolina Hurricanes center Martin Necas has been assigned to the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL. The talented 19-year-old produced a goal and an assist in seven NHL games but was routinely playing under 10 minutes a night. Playing in Charlotte will allow him to get far more ice time while saving a year of his entry-level contract. Necas has no fantasy value for this season but is a name to watch in dynasty formats.
