Mark Trumbo Goes Yard Thursday
7 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder/designated hitter Mark Trumbo went 2-for-4 with a single and a solo home run in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jays. The line-drive shot to left field completed a pair of back-to-back jacks with teammate Danny Valencia. Trumbo is now hitting .292 with three HRs and nine RBI in 111 plate appearances. While Trumbo can provide power for fantasy teams, his inflated .292 average and .378 BABIP suggest that negative regression is going to come, as his career numbers are .250 and .289, respectively. With power relatively easy to find these days, Trumbo is not all that valuable for fantasy players unless he proves he can continue to hit for average in addition to power.
