Luke Kennard Thinks Grizzlies Can Be A "Special" Team
1 year agoMemphis Grizzlies guard/forward Luke Kennard is expecting big things from the 2023-24 NBA campaign. "We got some really good additions this summer, and I think they're going to help our team out a lot," Kennard told Damichael Cole of The Commercial Appeal. "We're really excited. I know we have a really good team this year. With our coaches and everybody just buying in to what we want to do, we have a really good chance of being a really special team this year." Memphis' offseason acquisitions are headlined by Marcus Smart and Derrick Rose, who are set to give the team a lot of extra backcourt quality. Kennard has plenty of reasons to be excited personally as well. He scored 11.3 points with 54 percent shooting from deep and averaged 3.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists last season with the Grizzlies following a February move from the Los Angeles Clippers.
