2 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito was in midseason form in the team's 4-3 Cactus League win over the Chicago Cubs on Friday, allowing three hits and one unearned run while walking two and striking out six in three innings pitched. In his two appearances so far this spring, he has fanned nine in five innings. The 28-year-old right-hander was a big disappointment in 2022, when he went 11-9 with a 4.90 ERA (4.06 FIP), 1.43 WHIP and 25.4 percent strikeout rate in 161 2/3 innings over 30 games started. If Giolito can limit the hard contact against him this year, he'll be a prime bounce-back candidate for fantasy managers.
