1 year agoBaltimore Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish will start Game 1 of the American League Division Series on Saturday in Baltimore against the visiting Texas Rangers. Bradish was absolutely electric in his second major-league season for the O's in 2023, going 12-7 with a strong 2.83 ERA (3.27 FIP), 1.04 WHIP, 44 walks and career-high 168 strikeouts in 30 starts covering 168 2/3 innings pitched. He's rolling into his first career playoff start after having not allowed a single run in 16 innings while walking five and striking out 18 in his final three starts of the regular season. Bradish faced Texas twice in the first half of the regular season and shut them down, giving up just one earned run while walking two and striking out six in 8 1/3 innings pitched.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
