It is the fall race at Talladega that has befuddled Kurt Busch of late. The last four races here have seen the elder Busch finish outside of the top 10 with two straight DNFs. Here is the weird part: It seemed like he had it figured out in 2018. Busch led 108 of the 193 laps but then just faded out of contention. He dropped to 14th. The No. 1 car even led 16 laps in the 2019 fall race before a crash with three laps to go. Talladega is just one rough track, and a split-second lapse can be fatal. Busch does start 14th on Sunday, and it seems the lower down one starts, the harder it is to get to and stay near the front.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
