1 year agoArizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte will take a day off on the Fourth of July on Tuesday against the visiting New York Mets. It appears to be a normal day of rest for Marte. In his absence, Geraldo Perdomo will start at the keystone and bat leadoff for Arizona against Mets right-hander Max Scherzer. Marte went hitless in his four at-bats on Sunday against the Los Angeles Angels with three strikeouts. The 29-year-old Dominican switch-hitter has been great this year for fantasy managers, though, as he's slashing .285/.365/.502 with an .867 OPS, 15 home runs, 13 doubles, four triples, 44 RBI, six stolen bases and 61 runs scored in 348 plate appearances covering 79 games played.
