4 years agoArizona Cardinals running back Kenyan Drake, who had the transition tag placed on him, isn't close to a long-term deal with the team, but he said that he's not too concerned with a contract extension right now. "That’ll come in due time. Right now I’m focused on everyday getting in the best shape of my life to help this team play winning football," Drake wrote. The former Miami Dolphin has already signed his tag ($8.4 million) and can continue negotiating with the Cardinals until July 22. Arizona will have exclusive negotiating rights on Drake through Week 10. Everyone expects the 26-year-old to have a big year in 2020 in an offense on the rise, especially after he dominated in the desert after being traded from Miami in 2019.
