Karl-Anthony Towns Makes Winning Return For The Dominican Republic
1 year agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns made his first appearance in 10 years for the Dominican Republic on Friday, helping the team shock Canada with a 94-88 victory. The three-time All-Star was, of course, one of the stars of the show, putting up 20 points on 6-for-9 shooting and grabbing six rebounds. He was tied for the game-high in scoring along with teammate L.J. Figueroa. The Dominicans are gearing up for their third World Cup appearance, facing Angola, Italy, and the Philippines in group play. Towns should crush the competition, and a positive experience with the national team should only do him good ahead of the 2023-24 NBA campaign.
