1 year agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns made his first appearance in 10 years for the Dominican Republic on Friday, helping the team shock Canada with a 94-88 victory. The three-time All-Star was, of course, one of the stars of the show, putting up 20 points on 6-for-9 shooting and grabbing six rebounds. He was tied for the game-high in scoring along with teammate L.J. Figueroa. The Dominicans are gearing up for their third World Cup appearance, facing Angola, Italy, and the Philippines in group play.
