Justyn Ross Making Most Of Opportunity
1 year agoKansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross was the first major mover on the depth chart during Sunday's first full-team practice after Kadarius Toney suffered a knee injury. Ross was selected by the coaching staff to receive first-team repetitions, a very encouraging sign for his development. Ross made a one-handed catch from quarterback Patrick Mahomes on Wednesday "He's a bigger receiver, but when you watch him, he really excels at route running," offensive coordinator Matt Nagy said of Ross. "He's learning his timing, for Pat to understand how he runs routes. It's going to be immense growth for him, in a good way." Entering camp, Ross was a dark-horse candidate to win the final roster spot at receiver. If he keeps this up, he should make the team.
