Justin Turner Out With Injury Tuesday
1 year agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Justin Turner (heel) is not in Tuesday's starting lineup against the Seattle Mariners and rookie right-hander Bryce Miller. Masataka Yoshida is serving as the designated hitter and batting third, while Jarren Duran starts in left field and bats leadoff against Miller. Turner left Monday's game early with a left-heel contusion, so it shouldn't be a huge surprise that he's not playing on Tuesday. The 38-year-old should be considered day-to-day this week. Despite being almost 40, Turner continues to produce for fantasy managers in all league sizes. He's been a must-start while slashing .286/.356/.481 with an .837 OPS, 17 long balls, 71 RBI, four stolen bases and 66 runs scored in 391 at-bats. Hopefully, he'll be back in there on Wednesday.
