Josh Naylor Out 3-6 Weeks With Oblique Strain
1 year agoCleveland Guardians first baseman Josh Naylor (oblique) had an MRI exam on Thursday that showed a right-oblique strain, and he's been given a three- to six-week timetable, with manager Terry Francona calling it "extremely tentative." Naylor will be re-evaluated weekly. Cleveland put the 26-year-old left-handed hitter on the 10-day injured list, but he'll obviously miss more time than that. Naylor should be stashed in all fantasy formats because of how well he's played to this point in the season. Until he returns, David Fry figures to be the team's primary first baseman. Naylor is hitting a strong .306 (110-for-360) this year with 15 long balls, 79 RBI, six stolen bases and 41 runs scored in 96 games.
