Josh Downs Listed As Starting Slot Receiver
1 year agoIndianapolis Colts rookie wide receiver Josh Downs is listed as the team's starting slot receiver on their first unofficial depth chart entering the 2023 regular season. Downs will open his first NFL campaign as the starting slot receiver for the Colts after beating out Isaiah McKenzie for the role. The 22-year-old third-rounder impressed the coaching staff in training camp and could become an early season waiver-wire darling if he gets off to a strong start in Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, he's going to need volume to become a weekly option for fantasy managers, and rookie first-round quarterback Anthony Richardson's lack of experience and polish as a passer will likely make Downs extremely unpredictable.
