Josh Cameron 2026 Fantasy Football Outlook: Prepared to Work His Way up the Depth Chart
Unless injuries decimate the Jaguars' receiving corps, Josh Cameron is unlikely to be relevant in his rookie season. Trevor Lawrence did an excellent job spreading the ball around as Parker Washingotn and Brian Thomas Jr. each saw 90-plus targets, and Jakobi Meyers was the recipient of 61 targets after his mid-season trade from the Raiders to Duval County. Unfortunately, none of the three receivers mentioned are projected to regress in 2026, and Cameron will still be competing with Travis Hunter, Dyami Brown, and Brenton Strange for targets. The best-case scenario is that Cameron assumes the 24 targets vacated by Tim Patrick. While Patrick had 24 targets, he only had 15 receptions; however, three of those receptions were touchdowns. Cameron is a thick, physical receiver who has a knack for finding the end zone, as the Baylor product has hit pay dirt on 19 occasions over the past two seasons. Cameron was a walk-on at Baylor and cut his teeth as a returner. Working his way up a depth chart isn't new to him. Cameron may not be a year-one superstar, but he's a player you shouldn't bet against in dynasty formats.
