Jorge Soler Launches His Seventh Home Run On Friday
Jorge Soler was the only source of offense for the team in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Cleveland Indians. Soler went 1-for-3 in the game, hitting a solo home run in the eighth inning, his seventh home run of the year. It's been a nightmare season so far for Soler. Through 81 games, he's slashing just .185/.280/.321. His underlying power metrics still look generally promising. He ranks in the 95th percentile in max exit velocity (115.1 mph) and in the 87th percentile in hard-hit rate (48.6%). There could be better times ahead for Soler, but he can remain on waivers in all leagues until we see him start producing.
