Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani will make his next scheduled start on the mound Wednesday against the Angels, manager Dave Roberts told reporters. The plan is for Ohtani to throw four innings against his former team. Ohtani reached the four-inning mark for the first time this season in his previous start on Aug. 6 against the St. Louis Cardinals. He held them to one run on two hits while striking out eight and issuing no walks. Ohtani has made eight short starts this year in his return from 2023 Tommy John surgery and recorded stellar numbers across the board. The two-way sensation has put up a 2.37 ERA with a 1.11 WHIP, 25 strikeouts, and five walks in 19 innings.--Connor Byrne
