Jonathan Kuminga Shakes Off Thumb Injury To Shine Against Lakers
1 year agoGolden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga had a hugely impressive preseason outing on Friday against the Lakers, coming off the bench to score a game-high 26 points in 27 minutes. He added three rebounds, three assists, and two steals, helping the Warriors to a 129-125 victory. Kuminga shot a superb 9-for-12 from the field and 3-for-5 from outside. The young forward hurt his thumb in practice at the start of the week but looked perfectly fine here. Kuminga has been a man on a mission in the first couple of preseason outings, averaging 25 points and posting some ridiculous shooting numbers. He failed to make a big leap in his sophomore year, but the first preseason outings suggest that Kuminga is ready to contribute a lot more in his third season.
