Jon Gray Undergoes Imaging On Wrist
1 year agoTexas Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said that right-hander Jon Gray (wrist) had imaging done on his wrist on Tuesday after he was forced from his start early against the Los Angeles Angels on Monday with right-wrist tightness, but the team is still awaiting the results. The Rangers described the move to take Gray out early as precautionary, but it remains to be seen if he'll be able to make his next start this weekend as they Rangers push to win the American League East division. The 31-year-old has been key for Texas' starting rotation this year, going 9-8 with a 4.12 ERA (4.47 FIP), 1.29 WHIP, 54 walks and 142 strikeouts in 157 1/3 innings of work over his 29 starts in his second year with the team.
