8/1:San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Johnny Cueto (elbow) will have Tommy John surgery in Los Angeles on Thursday, which will end his season. It could also keep the veteran righty out for all of next year, so it's a big blow for the Giants. His season started off so great for his fantasy owners, but he landed on the disabled list and didn't look right after returning. Luckily for the Giants, youngsters Dereck Rodriguez and Andrew Suarez have been pitching well in the rotation. You can safely drop Cueto in single-season formats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
