8/16:Washington Nationals starting pitcher Joe Ross (elbow), the brother of Tyson Ross, tossed 3 1/3 scoreless innings (63 pitches) and gave up one hit in his rehab start for Single-A Potomac on Thursday. Ross is coming back from Tommy John surgery and will need to make several more starts in the minors before becoming an option for the Nationals next month. He's not guaranteed to start either, so he can be left to the waiver wire for now.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
