John Ross 2018 Outlook: Breakout Season Coming?
6 years agoIt’s not uncommon to see a rookie score zero fantasy points in a season. Maybe they don’t see the field or maybe they are injured. For John Ross, he scored negative points in his rookie campaign. Ross had one rush for 12 yards and one fumble while only seeing two targets on the season. An injury limited Ross to only three games last season, so he will have a lot of ground to makeup in 2018.
Ross has had an excellent training camp and appears to holding onto the WR2 spot on the Bengals. His speed has never been questioned, but his route running ability has been lauded in camp and he looks to be ready to roll. His ADP has been non-existent so you could get him for next to nothing in drafts. What will we see this season though? A speedy receiver that will be a decoy to opposing defenses or a big play maker with weekly upside?
