Jeimer Candelario To IL, Austin Meadows Activated
3 years agoThe Detroit Tigers placed infielder Jeimer Candelario (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday with a left shoulder subluxation and reinstated outfielder Austin Meadows (illness) from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Candelario's placement on the IL is retroactive to June 6. Meadows has been out due to symptoms of vertigo, and he went 2-for-13 with a home run on a four-game rehab assignment at Triple-A Toledo. He should return to an everyday starting role in Detroit's outfield. Candelario left the game early on Sunday. The 28-year-old hasn't done much for fantasy managers at the plate this year, slashing .181/.236/.319 with five home runs, 17 RBI and 20 runs scored in 182 at-bats.
