Jaylen Wells Has Successful Surgery on Tuesday
On Tuesday, the Memphis Grizzlies announced guard/forward Jaylen Wells (toe) underwent a successful procedure to stabilize his right big toe. The 22-year-old will miss the rest of the season but is expected to be good to go for the start of the 2026-27 campaign. Wells played in 69 contests this season, averaging 12.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.1 blocks, and 0.9 steals while shooting 43.1 percent from the field and 35.3 percent from beyond the arc across 26.4 minutes per game. Wells extended absence opens the door for Rayan Rupert, Jahmai Mashack, and DeJon Jarreau to take on expanded roles in the rotation.
