Jason Heyward Returns From Neck Injury
9 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Jason Heyward (neck) has returned to the lineup on Monday against the Baltimore Orioles and right-handed rookie Grayson Rodriguez. Heyward will get the start in right field and will hit seventh in the lineup. He was forced to leave Sunday's game early against the New York Mets with a stinger. Meanwhile, infielder Miguel Rojas will take a seat in favor of Chris Taylor at shortstop. Taylor will hit eighth in the order. Heyward is currently hitting .251/.346/.454 with eight home runs, 13 doubles, 22 RBI, two stolen bases and 36 runs scored in 73 games in his first year in LA. The 33-year-old left-handed hitter has played almost exclusively against right-handed pitchers this year, with just 14 plate appearances against southpaws.
