Jared Shuster To Make Another Start On Friday
2 years agoAtlanta Braves rookie left-hander Jared Shuster will make his second career start on Friday against the San Diego Padres. Shuster was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday after the team placed Collin McHugh (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list. The 24-year-old southpaw didn't fare well in his MLB debut last week against the Washington Nationals, when he allowed four earned runs on six hits while walking five and striking out one in 4 2/3 frames. Shuster is listed as the team's top prospect, per MLB Pipeline, but fantasy managers will probably want to look for better streaming options than an unproven rookie against a tough Padres lineup.
