Jalen Coker 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Catching Fantasy Managers Napping Again?
Jalen Coker was an unknown UDFA from Holy Cross. He made an impact for Carolina as a rookie, though, catching 32 passes for 478 yards and two touchdowns. Frankly, those numbers do not even tell the full story, either. Coker topped 100 yards in one of his four starts, caught seven balls in another, and saw eight targets in a third. He also posted very strong efficiency numbers, including 10.4 yards per target. However, the Panthers added highly-touted prospect Tetairoa McMillan to the receiving room via this year's draft, and a first-round receiver from last year's class, Xavier Legette, also returns. With the 34-year-old Adam Thielen also in the mix and inconsistent quarterback Bryce Young at the helm for his third season, Coker may have a difficult time building on his promising start to his career. Given his efficiency last year and his youth, though, Coker's ADP of WR81 understates his upside. Should Coker continue to progress, he can carve out a role alongside McMillan, outperform his per-game production from a season ago, and provide unexpected value for fantasy managers yet again.
