Jake Marisnick Off To Promising Start
6 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Jake Marisnick has seven hits in his first 18 at-bats (.389) to begin the season. It is a promising start for a player who hit 16 home runs in 2017 as a valuable piece of a championship team. Things really fell apart for the 28-year-old last season, hitting only .211 with 84 strikeouts in 203 at-bats and eventually being demoted to the minors. Marisnick is widely considered to be the best defensive outfielder the Astros have and thus far is holding his own at the plate. Marisnick is not worth a fantasy play at this time but could continue to see consistent at-bats moving forward.
