Jake Fraley Goes On Injured List With Fractured Toe
1 year agoThe Cincinnati Reds placed outfielder Jake Fraley (toe) on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to Aug. 4) on Saturday with a stress fracture in his left fourth toe and recalled outfielder T.J. Hopkins from Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move. Fraley was unavailable on Friday against the Washington Nationals, and now we know why. And given his injury, there's a good chance he won't be ready to return when he's eligible. The 28-year-old left-handed hitter has broke out in 2023 in his second year in Cincinnati to the tune of a .263 average (76-for-289) with career-highs in homers (15), doubles (14), RBI (63), stolen bases (20) and runs scored (40) in 327 trips to the plate and 92 games. Fraley is worth stashing in fantasy leagues. In the meantime, Stuart Fairchild should benefit the most from increased playing time.
