Jake Allen Posts Second Shutout Of The Season
1 month agoNew Jersey Devils goaltender Jake Allen stopped 31 shots to pick up his second shutout of the season in Monday's 3-0 victory against Edmonton. Allen became the third goalie in franchise history to record multiple shutouts within his first five games of a season. He joined Ottawa's Anton Forsberg as the second netminder in the league to keep multiple clean sheets in 2024-25. Jacob Markstrom also boasts one shutout, giving New Jersey a league-high three shutouts in total. The team has been impressive at the back and both goalies deserve plaudits. Allen improved to 3-1-1 on Monday and has recorded a 2.60 goals-against average with a .904 save percentage.
