Jacob deGrom Turns in Terrific Start Against Yankees
Jacob deGrom delivered an excellent performance in a no-decision in Wednesday's 4-3 loss against the New York Yankees. The two-time Cy Young winner fired seven innings of three-hit, two-run ball with nine strikeouts against one walk. Although deGrom pitched well enough to earn the victory, the Rangers' bullpen surrendered a pair of runs in a 4-3 defeat. The 36-year-old has now allowed two or fewer earned runs and totaled at least five innings in seven consecutive starts. DeGrom owns a sterling 2.33 ERA with 62:12 K:BB through 58 innings, making him a must-start each time he takes the ball. He's scheduled to face the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday.
