New York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom has been a victim of some hard-luck, bullpen-blown no-decisions in 2018, and it’s only been six starts thus far. One of those outings came against the Braves in Atlanta on April 21 when deGrom was absolutely masterful and put on a show with 10 strikeouts across seven innings pitched, not allowing any runs on four hits and two walks. Of course, the Mets would go on to lose 4-3. deGrom gets those very same Braves on Wednesday night and looks to continue the dominance he displayed last time out. Of course, the words “very same” should be used very loosely, as this time around the Braves have some kid named Ronald Acuna in the lineup. Regardless, deGrom is matchup-proof and obviously needs to be started every time he takes the mound.--John Smith
