Isaac TeSlaa demonstrated his ability to capitalize on his limited opportunities in 2025. Now, he is positioned to seize an expanded role during his second season. The Lions traded up 32 spots to seize TeSlaa in Round 3 (70th overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft. This transpired after TeSlaa accumulated 103 targets/62 receptions/896 receiving yards during the final two seasons of his collegiate career (2023-2024), while averaging 19.5 yards per reception in 2024. TeSlaa collected just 27 targets/16 receptions/239 receiving yards during 2025, but that did not impede him from securing 11 targets inside the red zone. He also accumulated six touchdowns and registered a 17.1% touchdown market share per Fantasy Points Data. 17 of TeSlaa's targets were captured from Weeks 13-17. That includes eight targets inside the red zone, which was second among Detroit's receiving weapons. TeSlaa also secured a 67.3% snap share and generated four touchdowns during that span. TeSlaa will encounter formidable competition for targets from Amon-Ra St. Brown. Jameson Williams, Sam LaPorta, and Jahmyr Gibbs. However, TeSlaa should operate as the Lions' WR3 following Kalif Raymond's departure during free agency. TeSlaa's increased role may not fuel consistent production in an offense that will be reconstructed under new coordinator Drew Petzing. However, the 6'4", 214-pound TeSlaa has the size and athleticism to create matchup issues for defenders and maintains the ability to function efficiently as a red-zone weapon. That makes him a viable target near his Round 18 ADP in best ball drafts (219/WR70), and his Round 20 ADP (230/WR83) in dynasty startups.--Phil Clark
