Isaac Guerendo 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Elite Athlete, Injury Worries, and Competing with Robinson to be SF's Top Backup
San Francisco 49ers running back Isaac Guerendo won't be the team's starter this season. That's no surprise, since RB Christian McCaffrey is still with the team. The 49ers recently acquired running back Brian Robinson Jr. from the Washington Commanders. Given CMC's history with injuries, Guerendo will compete with Robinson for one of the highest-upside running back handcuffs in the NFL. In limited action, Guerendo was an explosive play machine, ripping off huge runs, long receptions, and scoring touchdowns in his short 2025 season. Unfortunately, he suffered a litany of injuries and is currently dealing with knee and ankle ailments. Fantasy managers might have to draft both Guerendo and Robinson as both backs compete to be the primary backup for CMC. RotoBaller has Robinson ranked RB44 while Guerendo is RB63, which aligns with "B-Rob" eventually taking over as McCaffrey's top backup.
