Hunter Dozier Continues To Rake
6 years agoKansas City Royals third baseman Hunter Dozier looks like he's ready to be the star Dozier son. On Monday, Dozier homered for the third time in his last six games, and he's recorded at least one run scored in every game of his current six-game hitting streak. He's only striking out 17 percent of the time, which is his best strikeout rate since his first taste of Single-A in 2013. He's walking over 10 percent of the time, his fly-ball rate is 46 percent, 21 percent of his fly balls are leaving the yard and his OPS is .959. At 27 years old, Dozier isn't exactly a kid, but he certainly seems to have found an approach that works for him against major league pitchers. His new approach could make him a stud.
