Hunter Bigge is Undergoing Further Testing
Hunter Bigge (face) was struck in the face by a ball in the dugout and was hospitalized and is undergoing testing, the Tampa Bay Times' Marc Topkin reports. The news couldn't be more unfortunate for Bigge, as Baltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman hit a line drive into the Rays' dugout and hit him. It just so happened that Bigge was standing in the wrong place at the wrong time, and as a result, he was taken off the field on a stretcher. Most importantly, as he was leaving, he gave the stadium a thumbs up, showing that he was conscious and in good spirits. Reports have mentioned that Bigge was awake and talking to doctors in the hospital, and he never lost consciousness. More details will likely become available later on Friday or Saturday.
