Hornets Sign R.J. Hunter
1 year agoAccording to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, the Charlotte Hornets have agreed a deal with free agent guard R.J. Hunter. It's reportedly a one-year, non-guaranteed pact. Hunter, who was a first-round pick by Boston in 2015, is aiming to make a comeback in the NBA after last playing in the league during the 2018-19 campaign. He has suited up in 45 games overall in the Association, although the Georgia State product has had very little success, averaging 3.0 points in 8.8 minutes. Following his departure from the NBA, Hunter has played in the G League, as well as Europe and Australia. He was forced to skip the entire 2022-23 campaign after suffering a knee injury whilst playing for the Sydney Kings.
