Gleyber Torres Out In First Game Tuesday
6 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres is not in the starting lineup for the first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday. Torres should be back in the lineup for the nightcap, but the bottom line is that he'll be benched more frequently now that Didi Gregorius is back with the club. DJ LeMahieu is at second base and is hitting leadoff against Mets starting pitcher Zack Wheeler. LeMahieu has played like an All-Star in his first year in New York, hitting .321/.367/.468 with seven home runs, 41 runs, 41 RBI and two stolen bases in 237 at-bats. The 30-year-old is an excellent DFS pick atop the Bombers order.
